At present, there are two paper receiving methods used in gravure printing, namely static paper receiving and dynamic paper receiving. Pickup also has an effect on gravure printing. When receiving paper and changing paper, the paper tension is stable, and the paper at the unwinder is still under the action of the tension rubber roller. If the selected paper weight and thickness of the paper change are different from the previous ones, the tension roller will move quickly and the paper tension Instability and changes will cause inaccurate overprinting.
The number of paper joints in the paper roll also affects the quality of the gravure. Because the joints are taped together to connect the two ends of the paper, it is a bit thicker than the original paper. When the joint paper is overprinted, the paper tension and printing pressure at the rubber roller will change, resulting in inaccurate overprinting. If there are more such joints, the printing pressure will change more, the paper tension will change, the printing will be unstable, the printing quality will be poor, and the paper will be wasted. Therefore, it is best not to use webs with joints to ensure the quality of the printed products.
In all printing methods, printing pressure will affect the quality of the printed matter. The printing pressure applied by gravure printing is the largest. Changes in printing pressure will cause printing "fat" and other phenomena, which will affect printing. The printing pressure is affected by the rubber roller. The use of rubber rollers in each printing unit must keep the printing pressure balanced. If they are inconsistent, it will affect the change in paper tension and ultimately affect the quality of the printing. It is also important to keep the rubber roller surface clean. During use, the rubber roller often sticks to some ink, and after a long time, it will dry and form ink skin, thereby accelerating the aging of the rubber roller, and also increasing the local circumference of the rubber roller and changing the uniformity of the rubber roller.
