Influence of Temperature and Humidity Conditions on Prepress Equipment

Prepress equipment such as an electronic publishing system mainly composed of electronic computers is composed of a variety of electronic devices, mechanical devices, optical devices, and electromechanical and optoelectronic devices. These devices use a large number of electronic components, mechanical components, optical components and materials that are susceptible to environmental conditions. If the environmental conditions cannot meet the requirements of these equipments, the reliability of the equipment will be reduced, the aging of the components will be accelerated, the service life of the equipment will be shortened, data loss and malfunction will occur, and the safe operation of the equipment will be endangered, which will seriously affect publishing and printing work. Work properly. Therefore, it is an important task for our computer room management to fully understand the impact of environmental conditions on equipment, find solutions to problems, and continuously improve the environmental conditions of the engine room. This article discusses the meteorological factors, temperature, and humidity that have a great influence on the equipment.

First, the impact of temperature on the equipment

The thermal effect of solar radiation is temperature. Since the radiant heat of the sun is different everywhere, the temperature difference in different regions is very obvious. Temperature on semiconductor devices, electronic vacuum devices, resistors, capacitors and other electronic components, will have a more serious impact on the recording medium. The effect of temperature is above and below normal temperature. The actual presence of prepress equipment is mainly due to high temperature effects.

1. The failure rate of electronic components increases with temperature. The failure rate increases exponentially as the junction temperature of the device increases. Therefore, an electronic device that operates at a higher temperature will cause early failure of its components, resulting in reduced reliability of the electronic device. Looking at the circuit, if the temperature rises, the circuit performance will be degraded and the equipment will be unstable.

Semiconductors generate a lot of heat when they are working. If they cannot dissipate heat in time, the junction temperature will increase, the penetration current and the current multiple will increase. This will cause the temperature to rise further. Such a cycle will cause heat. Breakdown, resulting in damage to the semiconductor device.

When the resistor is used in a high temperature environment, the rated power will drop due to heat dissipation difficulties. Such as RTX-type carbon film resistors, when the ambient temperature is 40 °C when the power is allowed to use the nominal value of 100%, when the ambient temperature increases to 100 °C, the allowable power is 20% of the nominal value, and the temperature per liter The accuracy of the resistance at high or reduced 10°C varies by approximately 1%.

The main effect of temperature on the capacitor is to shorten its service life, and secondly to cause changes in parameters such as capacitance and power factor. When working above the specified temperature, the service life will be reduced by 50% for every 10°C increase in temperature. At a high temperature, the moisture in the electrolyte of the electrolytic capacitor evaporates easily, and the performance of the oxide film is easily deteriorated.

2. Insulating materials, also known as dielectrics, are primarily used for electrical insulation. Such as: printed circuit boards, focusing coil skeleton, plugs, sockets, all kinds of wires, signal lines and other packaging. It is generally desirable that the higher the insulation resistance of these materials, the better, but the high temperature will use the dielectric of the concentration of the core current increases, the dielectric strength decreases; will cause distortion of the printed circuit board, and even partial carbonization; will make the copper foil on the printed board Reduced strength or even peeling; will accelerate the corrosion of plug and socket metal reeds.

There are many metal and plastic mechanical transmission parts in the electronic publishing equipment. Due to its different expansion coefficients, it will increase wear or work even if it is stuck.

3. The floppy disk begins to break down at temperatures above 38°C. High temperatures can make paper brittle.

Electronic devices have a strict thermal design during design and manufacturing, and can operate stably for a long time under normal ambient temperature. The high temperature conditions that affect the normal operation of electronic equipment come from the equipment itself and the equipment room environment.

A cooling fan is generally installed inside the electronic equipment that generates more heat to force air convection to discharge heat outside the machine in time. In order to prevent dust, the filter is added to the air inlet of some equipment. If the fan is damaged or the filter is clogged, the air cooling cycle will stop or weaken, causing the temperature inside the machine to rise. Therefore, you should regularly clean the filter and always check the fan's operation.

Second, the impact of humidity on the equipment

The humidity of the air is the degree of humidity in the air. Relative humidity is expressed as RH. It is the percentage of the water vapor density d1 actually contained in the unit volume of air and the saturated water vapor density d2 at the same temperature, ie:

RH(%)=(d1/d2)×100%

Or the actual air water pressure P1 and the percentage of saturated water pressure P2 at the same temperature, ie:

RH(%)=(P1/P2)×100%

Relative humidity can be measured with a wet-bulb thermometer or a hair hygrometer.

In order to ensure continuous and reliable operation of the equipment, in addition to strictly controlling the temperature, the humidity should be controlled within the specified range. Abnormal relative humidity not only affects the reliability and life of the equipment, but also makes the staff feel uncomfortable. The relative humidity in the equipment room should be controlled between 45% and 65%.

The relative humidity of the air is related to the temperature. When the absolute humidity is constant, the relative humidity decreases with increasing temperature and increases with decreasing temperature. The higher the humidity, the thicker the water film formed on the surface of components or dielectrics by water vapor, resulting in "conductive paths" and arcing, severely degrading the reliability of the circuit.

If the humidity is too high, the printing paper or copy paper will absorb moisture and deform, the strength will be reduced, and it will be easily damaged. As a result, the printer cannot print normally or the print quality does not meet the requirements.

If the humidity is too low, static electricity can easily accumulate on the raised floors, countertops, machine enclosures, and staff in the equipment room. Under the same conditions, the lower the relative humidity, that is, the drier, the higher the electrostatic voltage. Static electricity will not only damage the equipment, affect the health of operators, but also cause psychological anxiety to operators and reduce work efficiency.

Low humidity drying will deform the software and the paper will become brittle and affect its use. The air in the northwest region of China is relatively dry. Humidifiers should be added to the engine room to increase the air humidity.

Because the humidity requirement of the equipment room has a certain latitude, an ordinary wet-bulb thermometer with simple structure, low price, and different measurement accuracy can be used to monitor the humidity of the equipment room. The common dry and wet bulb thermometer is composed of two thermometers, one of which is a dry-bulb thermometer and the other is wrapped with fine gauze on a warm package. One end of the gauze is immersed in a wet-bulb thermometer in a water storage cup. Due to the water absorption effect of the gauze, the surface temperature of the wet bulb temperature meter is often in a wet state. The lower the humidity of the surrounding environment, the more moisture evaporating from the surface of the wet bulb, the more heat is taken away, and the difference between the readings of the two thermometers is different. Big. According to the temperature difference reflected by wet and dry bulbs, the relative humidity can be read out. If you need to know the daily humidity changes, you can use the homemade hygrometer to record for 24 hours. According to the law of daily changes in order to promptly carry out humidification, dehumidification.

The impact of meteorological conditions on prepress equipment varies from place to place, and the impact will be different. Due to the small scale of the printing houses in the academies, the facilities in each factory are not the same, and new and special influence factors may appear at any time. Special attention and research are needed. The impact of adverse conditions on the equipment is often not immediately apparent. It has an accumulating process for equipment damage, and some are even long. Once it is revealed, the damage caused is very serious, so we must carry out regular maintenance and repair of the equipment. To eliminate hidden dangers in time so that the equipment is always in good condition

Wide Lane Turnstile Gate

General turnstile gates are common equipment suitable for pedestrians. When pedestrians carry large suitcases, push strollers or wheelchairs, conventional turnstile gates cannot meet this type of traffic demand and must be equipped with wide lane barrier gate, wide channel Turnstile Gate or wide access turnstile gate to manage.
