The advantage of the PC is its ability to withstand high temperatures above 120°C, and its mechanical strength is large, but it is expensive and has poor gas barrier properties, and it has gradually withdrawn from the field of beer packaging. According to reports, there are now improved PCs that have been brought back to the market.
As a result, PET has emerged, but since it is not resistant to high temperatures, it is suitable for cold-sterilizing beer because the sterilizing beer uses a membrane filtration technology that is not pasteurized or flash-sterilized at high temperatures. However, the penetration of gas cannot be well hindered. Not only the carbon dioxide content is low, but also the cyanidation of beer is easily deteriorated. Therefore, its application is greatly limited. However, PET is the earliest developed, most productive, and most widely used polyester product.
PET can be easily obtained by rapid cooling method in the amorphous, highly transparent, easily stretched PET products, so as a packaging material, PET can be made into two-way stretch packaging film, but also non-performing preforms A high-strength, high-transparency stretch blow-molded bottle can be obtained, and can also be directly extruded or blown into a non-stretched hollow container.
PET film has the properties of transparency, oil resistance, fragrance protection, hygienic reliability and wide application temperature range (high temperature steaming and freezing packaging are all possible), especially stretched plastic bottle molding, among which the most widely used is tens of milliliters to 2 liters. Small bottles also have large bottles with a capacity of 30 liters.

Due to the poor heat resistance and gas barrier properties of PET, its application in hot canning and applications requiring high air tightness is limited.
To solve the problem of poor heat resistance, people have developed three types of practical heat-resistant polyester bottles through research; heat-setting new bottles can meet the requirements for 85°C filling; PET/PEN alloy bottles, PEN have high heat resistance, In the ordinary injection and blow blowing equipment can be made in accordance with the requirements of the hot tank above 80 °C bottle, if the heat setting treatment, hot filling temperature can reach 90 °C or more; with heat-resistant polyarylate and other multi-layer composite Bottles to improve heat resistance.
