Analysis of classification and technical principles of inkjet printing

Inkjet printing is a non-contact, non-pressure, non-plate printing. The information stored in the electronic computer can be printed by entering the inkjet printer. Inkjet printing generally uses direct inkjet, as the name implies, this method is to directly image on the surface of the printing material.

Inkjet printing technology can be generally divided into two types according to the nozzle emission method: continuous inkjet and on-demand inkjet.

Continuous inkjet printing overview

Continuous inkjet printing is mainly used in industry, such as rough surfaces such as labels, tickets, cartons, metal surfaces, and plastic surfaces. The advantage is that the speed is fast, the smoothness of the material surface is not very important, and there is a considerable gap between the nozzle and the material The thickness of the material to be printed is not affected. The disadvantage is that the resolution is not very high. It is usually used on rough material surfaces that do not pay much attention to resolution. At present, the continuous inkjet printing method has developed BinaryDeflection (bidirectional deflection) and MultipleDeflection (multidirectional deflection), which are based on the principle of voltage deflection. The former supplies ink based on the method of inkjet when charged and not inkjet when not charged After the ink droplets are ejected, they pass through the high-pressure deflection plate, which can control the direction of the deflection, and more accurately reach the place where inkjet is needed. The uncharged ink droplets are led into the ink guide tank and can be recycled and reused.

Continuous inkjet principle

The ink from the pressurized ink source enters the print head, passes through the small hole of the single nozzle, and the brush head, through the small hole of the single nozzle, becomes a very thin ink flow, a very thin ink flow, this ink flow The static electricity is obtained in the metal channel charged with high voltage, and the static electricity is obtained in the piezoelectric metal channel, and the ejected ink is separated into a single ink body, and the ejected ink is separated into a single ink body. When the high-pressure deflection magnetic field is perpendicular to the direction of the drop, when the high-pressure deflection magnetic field, the ink droplets with little or no charge are not affected by the electrostatic magnetic field, and the electric ink droplets are not affected by the electrostatic magnetic field. After this magnetic field, ink is sprayed on the surface of the substrate to complete the brush. The ink is formed on the brush and the brush is finished. The charged ink droplets enter the ink return pipeline under the influence of the high-pressure deflection magnetic field and are sent back to the ink delivery system for recycling; the pipeline is sent back to the ink delivery system for recycling.

Type 1: Working principle of continuous array inkjet printer

The continuous ink ejected from the nozzle orifice is split into a series of single ink droplets and a series of single ink droplets under the action of the piezoelectric crystal resonator. The ink stream composed of these ink droplets passes through the front of a row of charged electrodes, and the front passes Each ink flow corresponds to a nozzle, a nozzle, and an electrode corresponding to it. When the electrode is energized, the corresponding ink droplet is charged, the droplet is charged, and enters the ink recovery device under the action of a deflection magnetic field. Into the ink recovery device, recycling; use; ink droplets that have not been charged do not deflect, deflect, then absorbed by the longitudinally moving printing material to form an image. Absorb to form an image.

It uses inkjet technology with variable regional tone to align different ink droplet beams to the same printing point, which can produce a gravure-like copy effect, which seems to be a continuously changing color tone, resulting in a higher quality output effect. The size of the ink droplets can be varied, and different ink droplet beams can be aimed at the same printing point, so that different gray levels can be achieved, thereby meeting the needs of high-end color printing.

On-demand inkjet

According to the graphic signal, the ink droplets are ejected from the nozzles and immediately attached to the printing material. The ink droplets supplied by the nozzles can be ejected only when needed. The on-demand inkjet printing method has a higher resolution than the continuous inkjet, but The output speed is slow.

Type 2: Intermittent thermal inkjet printing

The vibration of the piezoelectric crystal is used to generate ink droplets. The piezoelectric crystal will produce ink droplets. The pressure pulse is applied to the ink. When the piezoelectric pulse is generated, the piezoelectric crystal deforms to form the pressure of the ink jet, thereby forming an ink droplet, flying out to form a picture, and then the piezoelectric crystal returns to its original state, and the ink chamber is refilled Ink.

Comparison: intermittent and continuous performance comparison

â‘  Compared with continuous inkjet printing, the intermittent equipment is simple and compact, and the equipment with this working principle has high cost reliability.

â‘¡Because the intermittent type does not require an ink circulation system, the ink pressure pump and other equipment necessary for continuous inkjet printing equipment are eliminated.

â‘¢ The intermittent output speed is limited by the injection inertia. In order to increase the output speed, it can be solved by increasing the number of nozzles.
