On March 1, the National Bureau of Statistics announced 2018 GDP data for 31 provinces.

From the perspective of total GDP, the GDP of many places has reached a new level. The GDP of Guangdong ranks at the top of the list, which is close to 10 trillion yuan. From the perspective of GDP growth rate, the GDP growth rate of 18 provinces exceeds the national level, and the western region is still eye-catching.

From the expected target, most provinces have lowered their GDP targets this year, and 14 provinces set the target of GDP growth this year as the upper and lower limits.

Economic aggregate: multi-land GDP has reached a new level

In terms of economic aggregates, the top three patterns in Guangdong, Jiangsu and Shandong have not changed. Guangdong still tops the list with absolute advantage. Its total GDP in 2018 reached 9.7277.77 billion, approaching the 10 trillion mark.

Among them, the top Guangdong and the second-hand Jiangsu's 2018 GDP for the first time into the "9 trillion clubs", far beyond the third place in Shandong, the current total GDP of Shandong is still "7 trillion clubs."

In addition, there are also a number of provinces that have achieved an important leap in economic aggregates. Among them, Sichuan's GDP reached 406.813 billion, making it the “4 trillion clubs” for the first time; Beijing and Anhui GDP entered the “3 trillion clubs” for the first time; Chongqing's GDP exceeded 2 trillion for the first time.

In 2018, only the GDP of Gansu, Hainan, Ningxia, Qinghai and Tibet has not exceeded 1 trillion yuan, and the rest of the provinces have already exceeded 1 trillion.

Economic growth rate: 18 provinces GDP growth rate exceeds the national

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s GDP reached 900.309 billion in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. Compared with the national growth rate, the GDP growth rate of Beijing, Hebei and Shanghai is the same as that of the country.

In 18 provinces, the GDP growth rate exceeded the national level, namely Guizhou, Tibet, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Shaanxi, Anhui, Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Qinghai, Zhejiang, Ningxia, Guangdong, Guangxi, Shanxi, Jiangsu. .

Among them, Guizhou and Tibet tied for first place with a growth rate of 9.1%. Tianjin, which is affected by GDP “squeezing water”, has a growth rate of 3.6%.

From the perspective of regional pattern, the western region is eye-catching, and the top three GDP growth rates in Guizhou, Tibet, and Yunnan all belong to the western region. In the three northeastern provinces, Liaoning's GDP growth rate in 2018 has rebounded from 4.2% in 2017 to 5.7% in 2018.

Expected target: This year's GDP target is set to an interval trend

According to the economic development expectation, according to the government work report of the 2019 provinces in 2019, the GDP target of most provinces has been lowered this year compared with last year.

For example, in the top three provinces with 2018 GDP, the GDP growth target for Guangdong in 2019 was adjusted from 7% to 6.5% last year; Jiangsu was adjusted to more than 6.5% from last year's 7%; Shandong More than 7% of last year was lowered to about 6.5%.

Setting the GDP growth target as the interval value is a significant feature of this year. Among them, Beijing, Anhui, Fujian, Hubei, Henan, Hunan, Hainan, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Ningxia, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Shanghai, Jilin and other 14 provinces set the GDP target for this year to the upper and lower limits.

In the future, which provinces can leapfrog the economic level?

First, it can be expected that the leading edge of Guangdong and Jiangsu will continue to be maintained. However, with the transformation of the global trade situation, the gap between the coastal provinces and the central provinces is gradually narrowing, and the central provinces such as Hubei, Hunan, and Henan will see greater development in the future.

Second, the northeastern provinces such as Liaoning, Heilongjiang, and Jilin have to accept the reality that “big brother” is no longer. In the era when heavy industry was king, the Northeast could be described as the limelight. Nowadays, kinetic energy conversion and industrial upgrading, if you can't find a breakthrough in high-tech manufacturing, the status of the city may fall further.

Third, Hainan, the outside world can be said to have high hopes, Ma Yun throws out Hainan's argument over Hong Kong. Although this kind of brain hole is too big, but on the policy advantage, except for Beijing and Shanghai, no other provinces can get as many blessings as Hainan, and the future prospects are equally promising.

Fourth, the provinces supported by a strong urban agglomeration will be greatly assisted by the economy. Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, the Yangtze River Delta, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei are the three largest urban agglomerations in China. The integration and radiation effects of Chengdu, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the Central Plains urban agglomeration, and the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration will also become more prominent. It is expected to benefit from it.
