The United States invented the use of waste plastic packaging materials

American scientists have invented a new method for making composite materials from waste plastics and wood waste. Since plastics have lipophilic properties and wood fibers are hydrophilic, how to bond two different types of materials together is technically quite difficult. The New Mexico Institute of Mining Technology, USA, uses a specially designed graft copolymer molecule to effectively bind plastic and wood waste. In the experiment, the researchers coated the molecules with a thin strip of wood. The plastic yoghurt bottles were then cut into thin strips and mixed with wooden strips. The mixture was put into a machine for heating and extrusion, and finally a firm sturdiness was obtained. Brown new material. At present, researchers are studying to further improve the performance of this composite material by changing the composition ratio of wood fiber and plastic in the mixture and the temperature adjustment in the heating process so as to achieve industrial production as soon as possible.
