Based on the business revenue of 2017 (part of the company's fiscal year), the US paper360 magazine announced the latest global paper industry top 100 list. The three US companies, International Paper, P&G and WestRock, ranked in the top three, Japan's Oji, Finland's UPM is close behind.
The small compilation list found that a total of 14 Chinese companies entered the global top 100, and 9 of them ranked higher than the previous year. Nine Dragons Paper ranked first among Chinese companies. In 2017, its operating income reached US$5,793 million. Chenming Paper, Lee & Man Paper, Sun Paper and Shanying Paper ranked second to fifth.
The report also published a list of 57 paper-making enterprises with a production capacity of more than 1 million tons of paperboard in the world. International Paper ranked first, and Nine Dragons Paper and WestRock ranked second and third. Four Chinese companies have entered the top 15 in the world, namely Nine Dragons Paper, Lee & Man Paper, Chenming Paper and Shanying Paper.
