Hyosung Corporation Launches a Hot Drinking PET Bottle

Hyosung, the largest polyester bottle manufacturer in Korea, recently launched a hot drinking PET bottle.
It is reported that this new type of polyester bottle can block oxygen, protect vitamin C in beverages, effectively prevent oxidation of the contents during the shelf life, and can maintain the unique taste of beverages when the temperature reaches 60 degrees Celsius.
At present, the sales season of polyester bottles is generally summer, but the successful development of hot drinking PET bottles can create stable demand throughout the year. In Japan, hot drinking PET bottles show rapid growth. Since its inception in 2000, the average annual growth rate has reached 40%-60%. Hyosung plans to sell 7 million hot beverage polyester bottles in the second half of this year.
Hyosung also said that it hopes to consolidate its position as the number one polyester bottle manufacturer by developing new technologies such as hot drinking PET bottles and multi-layer polyester beer bottles.
