1. Due to the small thickness of the material, the diameter of the unwinding / winding is generally not large, so the structure can be more compact. 2. The pretreatment device is different from the pretreatment device on the paper gravure printing machine. Since the adhesion of film materials is not as good as paper materials, the surface treatment of materials is one of the important factors for successful printing. Therefore, the following pretreatment systems are often installed at the exit of the unwinding section: corona processor and preheating roller. The pretreatment on the paper gravure printing machine is usually dust removal, flattening and temperature and humidity treatment (cylinder, single-sided and double-sided pretreatment box).
3. Because most of them are stretchable materials, the tension of the whole machine is small, and the accuracy, sensitivity and stability of the tension control system are higher than those of the general paper gravure printing machine, especially the unwinding part and the input part are very high. The tension control system with high accuracy, so that the material strip before entering the first printing unit is in a very stable state. At the same time, a floating roller with a large stroke must be used for paper detection.
4. Since most of the materials are stretch materials, the layout of the feeding path should be more strict (including the distance between the two imprinting points, the angle of the tape wrap, etc.). The diameter of the excessive roller is small. For the aluminum foil gravure machine that may be used, the structure of the transition roller must be specially considered. It is usually required to use a smooth roller and shorten the path as much as possible.
5. Due to the low tension, the material guide generally does not need to use a hydraulic drive mechanism.
6. Since some flexible packaging materials are heat-sensitive materials, special attention must be paid to the design of the dry cooling system.
7. Due to the smooth surface and good reproduction of fine layers, the ESA system is generally not used. Although some flexible packaging gravure printing machines are also equipped with such devices, but mainly for special products and possible paper printing.
8. Since most materials are transparent films, the tape guide generally does not use photoelectric sensors, but pneumatic or ultrasonic sensors. For the same reason, the registration scan head, image observer system, etc. need to be installed with reflective plates.
9. Due to the low embossing force and tension, compared with paper and cardboard gravure printing machines, the width of the machine is generally larger, and sleeve-type plate cylinders are used more than paper gravure printing machines.
10. Since the reverse printing and coating are more common, the two-sided unwinding / handling carton front and back printing unit is more common.
