In the next 5 to 10 years, the adhesive consumption in China will still grow at a rate of 8% to 10%. The development direction is as follows:

1. Low formaldehyde emission urea formaldehyde gel;

About 30% of the total amount of synthetic adhesives in China, with the improvement of people's living standards and environmental protection awareness, the environmental protection requirements for artificial boards will be higher, so the market potential for low formaldehyde emission urea-formaldehyde rubber is huge. At present, foreign companies have produced low-formaldehyde emission urea-formaldehyde rubber in China and have also established large-scale wood processing plants.

Hot melt adhesive

The organic flux is not used, and the construction is rapid and the bonding effect is good. It is the fastest growing type of rubber in China in recent years and is also the future direction of development. In addition to traditional EVA hot-melt adhesives, new varieties of polyester and polyamide hot-melt adhesives are urgently needed in China.

3. Polyurethane adhesives;

Widely used in footwear, packaging, construction, automotive and other fields, and because of its excellent performance, it is considered to be one of the most promising types of plastic in China. In developed countries, plastics for shoemaking are all polyurethane adhesives, and all composite films for packaging use polyurethane adhesives. In addition, special adhesives such as tapes also use polyurethane adhesives, which shows that they are widely used.

4. Silicone adhesives;

In developed countries, building seals mainly use silicone sealants. In the next few years, silicone sealants will also become the dominant rubber in construction sealants in China.

5. High performance epoxy resin;

Epoxy adhesives for the electronics industry and epoxy structural adhesives for the construction industry have great difficulty in production technology and poor quality of domestic products. Currently, they mainly rely on imports. It is estimated that in the future, consumer demand in this area will greatly exceed the average growth rate.

6. Automotive PVC plastic melt glue;

PVC plastic melt adhesive is the main sealant for automobiles, which accounts for about 1/3 of the adhesive used in automobile in China. The current annual demand is about 10,000 tons. With the development of China's automobile industry, especially the car industry, PVC plastic adhesive must have Broad prospects for development.
